Albert Chow has lived in the Sunset since 1978 when his family started the Great Wall Hardware Store on Taraval. Today, he still owns the store, but an arsonist burned it down in 2024 and Albert has spent the last 15 months rebuilding and preparing to reopen in 2026.

Rooted in the Sunset, Albert has spent 14 years as President of the People of Parkside Sunset (POPS) neighborhood organization, building community spirit. Through his work with POPS, Albert partnered with local police to keep our community safe, held weekly community meetings to keep residents informed, and has created and supported many beloved community events. As President, Albert has spent over a decade organizing movie nights, night markets and other events to improve quality of life in our community and bring us together.

With so much at stake, let’s stop letting City Hall tell us who should represent us on the Board of Supervisors. Let’s make our own choice.

The Sunset deserves a supervisor who will focus on the issues most important to our community – safe streets, affordability and thriving small businesses.
